HI Andrew,

Would be very interested in the pic interface, I have a qty of version 1.6
and 1.3 which then could be used. They owe us $45 each so not real
pricey,
even with the pic added.
Regards
Brenton

Gday Ron,

Winoncore12 as mentioned should work and allow you to change the modes of
the GPS engine.
However just keep in mind that there was an older version of the oncore
gps
engine that only supports the Motorola proprietory data formats. It's very
similar to standard NMEA sentences , but different enough to make them
unusable for our purposes. The winoncore12 progam will enable you to
change
between the Motorola binary format , which is generally its default , and
the motorola ascii
format , which is "readable" but non NMEA compliant. If you find that you
have the older oncore gps engines ie the non GTplus type then let me know.
I
use the older oncores here , but with a pic interface that I knocked
together that does the conversion from the motorola ascii format to GGA
and
RMC sentences. I also have the manuals here as pdf files. But I think you
can get them off the net anyway. Let me know how you go.

Regards .. Andrew .. VK5EX
