Subject: [OZAPRS] Cost of FindU functionality commercially
People
I have just managed to get a price of street level functionality similar
to
what FindU used to offer. It is now plain why they closed things down.
The quote was between about $0.02 and $0.055 per map. Given that there
might
be 25 users viewing APRS data, each refreshing the data automatically
every
5 minutes, this places the cost of operation at $2-5/hour. This is not
cheap. In fact this is far too expensive.
