[OZAPRS] FW: VK3CV-1 site monitoring with Site Alert

Hi Chris,

Ya cant be too careful these days. :)

The original inspiration for Site Alert was when we were running the
VK3KAW-1 on a solar site where power was limited.

The circuit will be available when the prototype trials have been
successful and we don't think there are any major changes required.

Cheers

Hi All,

I note that "The developer takes no responsibility holy or implied" for
Site
Alert.

Does this mean that Site Alert is "Plug and Pray"? :-)

Seriously though, this looks like a great addition to any site. It
would be
interesting to use the same circuitry to disable other transmitters at a
solar site, such as a 2m voice repeater, etc. Any chance of a circuit
diagram?

Hi All,

Last weekend I installed a prototype of Warren's (VK3BYD) Site Alert at
VK3CV-1. (We are currently testing and proving the units.)

Site Alert monitors several parameters at remote (digi) repeater sites
such as "in shack" temperature, backup battery voltage, digipeater
transmissions and mains power failure alerts. If there is a mains power
failure then Site Alert will notify the site owner via APRS Messaging
and
place an alert icon on the map. If the backup batteries voltage falls
below a preset level Site Alert will disable the Digipeaters transmitter
until the voltage increases to an operational level.

Data from the monitored Site Alert items is fed in to the APRS network
using the TLM format (see APRS spec for more details) and can be logged
using the UI-History/Telemetry utility that comes with UI-View32 ver
1.80
or later, or via FindU using the following URLS:
