TC98GP activity in 23-24-25 April 2004.

TRAC (Turkish Radio Amateurs Club www.trac.org.tr ) has organised a
special
event operation together with the Turkish Federation of Scouts.
During this event  the scouts will be marching between their base and the
ANZAC BAY in the Gallipoli-Peninsula, commemorating the 89'th Anniversary
of
the Gallipoli-Battle .

One of the scouts will be carrying a portable APRS -setup which will
permit
tracking the convoi.
Scout groups from Australia and New Zealand will be able to track the
march
as well, as an  i-gate will be installed.  (APRS maps for UI-View, in
www.qsl.net/ta1dx/aprs/ta_haritalari.htm )

A well equipped HF station will be operating on 80-10 meters and all
modes.
QSL via buro..

Most likely the special call '' TC89GP '' will be used. Confirmation from
the autority is pending,  possible  changes of in terms of this call will
be
announced.
