I use an inverter.

The Digitor (DSE) 150W inverter heat sensors tripped when in the front
footwell of the car. It needed the fan on to keep the airflow and it
cool. This would, I think, if used stationary/portable on a normal
summer day, be unsuitable.

The Digitor (DSE) 300W inverter has an inbuilt fan has not given any
problems so far, and it has 2 power leads. One for the cigarette lighter
socket unfused, and a second fused lead with alligator clamps.

Who knows? :-)
But you can use the inverter for other purposes.
