Gday Kev,

Its pretty easy to knock up the 5volt regulator and max232 chip on some
vero board. But Norm ,VK5ZAH here in adelaide has designed a PCB daughter
board, which makes construction a lot simpler and neater. His contact
details are - Norm Rosenzweig nrosie at mail.mdt.net.au

Hi kev,

Yes the Oncores are a very good GPS solution for trackers etc. I have
several in use here are the do work a treat. Looks as though you'll have
to source an antenna from somewhere, the Oncores use a hard to come by osx
type connector though. We also have a bloke here is SA, Norm , VK5ZAH who
has designed a piggy back type daughter board for these. This provides the
5 volt regluator and the max232 chip for the TTL to rs232 conversion etc..

Good luck with it.

Regards .. Andrew .. VK5EX

price seem good, anybody know if these are any good, says that it outputs
NMEA at 4800baud. So should work good with a TMD700.
