<div dir="ltr">One thing to note is that the WA8LMF test CD has a number of pre-defined "challenges" for your packet decoder to deal with. There are packets there that are pre-emphasised, have flat flat-audio, tone offsets, tone skew and other nasty things. It is designed to torture your decoder to death and give it a hard time.<div><br></div><div>Each of these nasty tests has the opportunity to corrupt a packet and if your decoder cant cope you should technically get nothing from your TNC. Playing this back to a known good decoder and then comparing the decode success rate gives you a good empirical comparison between decoders. The higher the number of packets recovered the better.
