<div></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1448857764749_5277">It is with great sadness that I report the passing this morning of Larry VK5LY.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1448857764749_5272">Larry has bravely battled illness since earlier this year, and succumbed to that illness, earlier today.<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1448857764749_5275">Larry was a great supporter of the VK5 Parks program, and a very good mate. I confided in Larry during both the implementation of the VK5 Parks Award and the VKFF Award and Larry provided valueable advice and encouragement to me. Larry was also a very active parks activator and hunter.<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1448857764749_5276">I last saw Larry a few weeks ago in the Renmark Hospital when he was in good spirits. I shared a great afternoon with Larry, my wife Marija, Larry's wife Di, and Larry's great mate Ivan VK5HS. We watched the cricket together and shared a few old war stories and some laughs.<br></div><div>That day I also spoke with Larry about the introduction of a Memorial VK5 Parks Day in his honour.
