    The Actual ability to correctly identify myself according to those
    ZL regs on my VX-8 prompted me to get a ZL call when I went over
    there.&nbsp; Having family over there makes it a snap to do this, and the
    no fees makes it a no-brainer when visiting "East Bondi"<br>

    When using voice, compliance is not an issue, it was the fact that I
    wanted to use APRS whilst over there that prompted me to get a ZL
    license&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br>
    <br>
    Yes, it is a pity that the regulations are so far moved from reality
    as to how to acheive the necessary compliance.<br>

        you can add the ZL to the beginning or end of your callsign when
        visiting NZ - and separate it with a slash, as you showed below

                days at a time without having to get a temporary call -
                you just have to add<br>
