Here in Tasmania these so called smart meters (they go by the title of Pay-As-You-Go) are in fact (for the average user) a complete ripoff as you pay a standing charge to compensate for the fact that they no longer come to read the meter! to see just how wrong they (Aurora Energy) have this whole concept wrong just take a look at the pricing and then do the math, you soon discover that unless you do the majority of your electrical requirements in the early hours of the morning you are in fact paying more per Kwh than standard metered usage here in Tasmania...<BR>
