<div>My understanding (and feel free to correct me if I've missed the point) is that when mobile I have the CTCSS enabled on Tx and Rx, that way my radio is silent and I don't hear any packets - unless another mobile doing the same is in range and has tones enabled - we hear each others packets and can QSY for a yarn.</div>
