My 60 series was very quiet but a neighbours 60 series a few years
early had full scale hash on 27MHz from the oil pressure sender. The
engine was alive with noise.

We bonded the body to the chasis at the front rubber body mounts with
heavy braid and the noise disappeared completely.

My old 24v 1981 MQ Patrol had S9+ on 2m from the mechanical voltage
regulator. It defied all attempts to quieten it, except one. I built a
solid state regulator and goodbye noise.
found 2 huge sources of noise in landcruisers to be the alternator and
the oil pressure sender. To prove how much of the noise is oil pressure

alternator whine by fitting a MAR-60A in line. If you fit a 47 nF cap
across the oil pressure sender it will reduce the noise it makes and
will also reduce the oil pressure gauge reading by 10 to 20 % (I can
mentally add the reduction).
