This is the difference between a commercial release v's a non commercial! I've currently got the netbook (remix) 9.10 on my Eee 701SD and I find this a much nicer flavour of Linux to have than the supplied Xandros!<BR>

The concept was good, but they (ASUS) failed IMHO with the support side for updating the OS (Xandros)<BR>

Just timed a reboot of my Eeebuntu 701 (with memory maxed up to 2Gb, which
is not possible with Xandros without a kernel mod), and it was 1m11s.
Mind you, this Eeebuntu distro is a full one (I run NBR, optimised for the
701's small screen); it comes with all sorts of things (such as GCC) which
were not provided with Xandros.
