The original 40mtr frequency was used to fit in with the ZL APRS
operations on 40mtrs and with our VK band plan.<br>
<br>
If it's decided to change the frequency we will need to do a bit of
home work first so that we fit the current VK band plan and are using a
clear channel most of the time.<br>

I'm glad that this topic has been raised! because for me every weekend
is wiped out by some RTTY contest thus making my 40m gateway
effectively useless!<br>

I also have another fellow amateur how lives relatively near by that is
a keen PSK31 user, so as soon as he starts sending CQ... well its game
over for me!<br>

So as this is now being discussed, is it time to move the 40m gateways
above 7.100 and get away from the over crowded band section of
7.030-7.040 ???<br>
