Hello Wade,
Seeing as you asked, are you aware that your alerts are still going out in duplicate?

Hi All,
So my APRS / WX / FIREALERT system was running all over the horror summer period.
I know there was some discussion about double packets etc, other than that did anyone have any feedback on the system?
Did you find it useful?
To give a bit more context about what the system was doing:
* TX NSWRFS, ACTESA and CFA fires as objects, 100km around the VK1RGI location
* TX NSWRFS, ACTESA and CFA fires, 100km around the VK1RGI location as polygons showing *very* rough fire size
* TX BOM weather alerts within 100km around the VK1RGI location
Thanks
Wade

Thanks to all that helped. I now have all fire and serve weather going out with a range of 150km from the location of VK1RGI-1 (picked for testing) - the server seems to re transmit and therefore broadcast the alerts at Minute 16,36,47 and 2(?) approx of the hour so if there is a lot of fires or alerts within that 150km range it cant be abit of a blast of data going out.
I am happy to share my config file for any one to use for their igates
W
