in my opinion, hams / mfrs that promote closed box applications are
traitors to their hobby and culture.
I will tolerate DMR in the interests of fostering activity.
For corner cases I think I can always do better than the team of 25
engineers.. (try me) 'cause medium size companies have to work with
average talent, it is the nature of recruiting a large team......and
they using have to make compromises as a commercial operation (which we
do not if we choose not to).
...still large teams of average talent can produce impressive product if
they have the right engineering manager/leader.
