Hi Glen,

I'd like to know more about what you're proposing with the connected mode
packet and WICEN around VK1.   Recently we've introduced APRS to a
community event that we support, which has been a great success.  We
however also would like to pass scoring and repetitive traffic using
connected mode packet on low band VHF.  So what you're doing with Direwolf
and STM32 processors has piqued my interest.

Like you I'm also a ground zero Engineer who finds it funny that what is
old is suddenly new again with DSP.  As one of our club members would say
"MIPS are cheap".
