Hi Liz,
I won't attempt to comment on the regs but as far as the RF AX.25
protocol goes, the callsigns are limited to 6 characters plus the SSID
from 0 to 15. I think it would be impossible to transmit a suffixed
Australian callsign unless it was included separately inside the body of
the APRS packet.
It will be an interesting issue if/when Foundation licensees get access
to digital modes. Their callsigns simply won't fit!
