If we use the Yaesu VX-8GR in ZL, the correct callsign would be VK2XXX/ZL but it doesn't allow that many digits. I've got a TinyTrak MT-AIO but it won't allow me to put any letters after my callsign either. Has anyone any ideas (other than get a ZL callsign for 2 weeks?) I think it would be impossible to transmit a suffixed Australian callsign unless it was included separately inside the body of the APRS packet. It will be an interesting issue if/when Foundation licensees get access to digital modes. Their callsigns simply won't fit!
