That certainly worked well! I’ll be happy if I can get half that reception on 40m using a Diamond HF40FXW.

I’ve got the Diamond HF30FX bolted to the bullbar of my Prado. It’s sitting atop a GME spring loaded mount so that I don’t destroy it when going over corrugations. Icom IC-7000 @100W. Works a treat. Here’s part of our Central Australia trip in August.
