[OZAPRS] APRS Igate/Sgate on Raspberry Pi?

I can confirm the rtl_fm + direwolf approach does work, VK5NEX-5 has been
running that since last christmas without a hiccup.

However, do note that the performance of the RTL dongles is pretty
terrible, particularly in the presence of pagers. In my case that was fine,
as it only had to hear packets off the nearby VK5RMN digipeater, but if you
want something with a bit more range it might be better to use something
like a TNC-X Raspberry Pi shield with a more robust radio.

You certainly don't need to run a GUI program like Xastir to do this. Both
the direwolf and aprx approaches will operate headless, and you can just
administer them via a ssh client.
