Hi, 7.050 is VK5EEE's CW 'call channel'. He has claimed it and frequently QSYs down a few KHZ for QSOs. He may be a jamming hazard.Just a thought.Phil VK2CPR

Hi Tim, There was a bit of discussion off list, and yes 7.0486 is the dial frequency for 1600/1800Hz tones Because I'm sending this from my phone, I can't seem to copy a frequency table that was in the off list discussion!  Gerard, could you please post that into this thread? (if & when you get a chance)

Ok I've just made the adjustments here, so I'll monitor as I can. I'm only running around 25-30W into a Hustler 5-BTV so honestly don't expect a great signal from me! I've tried running at 100W and it just messes up our PVR no matter what RF shielding I've tried! So lower that 50W keeps it happy (actually my wife happy!) See how it goes...

  Hi Peter,

Feel free to use USB if you wish. FSK packet is normally quoted in LSB on 40m though works equally well in USB. The same cannot be said of many other digital modes - and Robust packet may be one of those.
The current centre frequency is 7046.9 kHz so just subtract off your modem's centre frequency to work out the USB dial frequency. This table may help:

| Band | Tone Frequencies | Dial Frequency (kHz)
 LSB / USB |
| 40m | 1070/1270 (Group A) | 7048.07 | 7045.73 |
| 1100/1300 (Group B) | 7048.1 | 7045.7 |
| 1600/1800 (Group C) | 7048.6 | 7045.2 |
| 2025/2225 (Group D) | 7049.025 | 7044.775 |
| 2100/2300 (Group E) | 7049.1 | 7044.7 |
| 2110/2310 (Group F) | 7049.11 | 7044.69 |
| 2125/2325 (Group G) | 7049.125 | 7044.675 |

Guys    Great news, is it possible that  you could be USB, as this would fit the all other country's convention on 40m and would suit the use of old but cheap Codan/hawks. . Etc which some are usb only...?   If not still a great win we have an agreed 40m frequency    Regards Pete   Sent from my Windows 10 phone    From: Scott Evans

Subject: Re: [OZAPRS] HF net stations      Okay, thanks for the update. I'll shift up to where you are currently, as there's no point in making noise if no one is going to hear me!

Up to you, Scott. The band plan is a recommendation - its not legally binding.
My Igate is currently on 7048.6 LSB and has also been on 7045. I wont be returning to 7036.
Once we decide on a final frequency I'll move there.

 Cheers,

So does that mean I should cease on 7.036? I'm not sure how many people are active on 40m (both users & i-gates) Guessing we might need a new thread to discuss the 40m frequency...

 Here's the list, Andrew:

A lot has changed in two years so I shall have to update the site.
We no longer have an official 40m APRS frequency since the WIA band plan
change last year placed 7036 kHz in the CW segment.
One option would be to shift up 10 kHz to 7046 like the packet chat net
did to 7047.17. Alternatively, align with Japan at 7045 or EU at 7048.6.
There's nothing running on 20m at the moment either.

Your sailor should have a lot of success on 30m APRS as there are plenty
 of Igates.

 Cheers,
