Don't forget if you enable i2c between the TNC-Pi and the rPi you can have
multiple channels.

My RX only iGate (VK5ZM-5) has run on a rPi for the past three years with
an original Pi, gets rebooted once a year when I trip over the power cable.

I've got a new Rx only iGate with three TNC's (and receivers) built from
the TNC-Pi2 and rPi 2 B+ hardware, so far working very well.
