Hi group, i have used the info on the APRS VK web site and i have also ticked the compressed box which i thought should have shorted the packet length i will also un tick all other boxes that are not important i was just trying to shorten it as i am fully aware of the time to transmit the packet data on HF 3-4 seconds.

I'm new to the world of APRS as well & I gained a lot of information off the Australian APRS website (see link) which includes some configuration information, I set up my TT3 using the info supplied. I hope this helps......i

  Hi group, i am in the process of setting up a HF system again in the 4wd in the idea of some long trips coming up i am using a Open Tracker USB and i have noticed that the raw packets are longer than i would like it to be can somebody tell me where my settings are wrong i have had a look at it several times and i can not see where i am going wrong.
