[OZAPRS] APRS Distance Records Enquiry

[VK4FQ [Cairns Digital Group]]

We launched one on the day of the eclipse (Luara FNQ  between cooktown and
wiepa) and was heard by vk4og-1 at mt mee

The unit had 500mw and reached 36.888 Km above the earth  (3rd Highest
Payload in Au)

I think Project Horus has done 150km max. Mainly because all the APRS
digi's/igates near us are in Adelaide, and we launch from there... Dunno
about the other ballooning groups - is Robert Brand on this list?

We've had >600km ranges on our 25mW 70cm RTTY payload though...
