Ah, I'm glad you have a sense of humor. Its all good.

Well I've learned something; The Jaycar modules run on 434 MHz and might 
be useful for non-ham-radio projects.

I went on to find some 434MHz transceiver modules that interface using 
I2C or SPI for use with micros;
