I knew you would come up with the goods sooner or later..
 
I was just starting to look at the filters and see how they could be used, I
was thinking of a filter for gate stations but this will work I think.
 
I will give it a go.
 
Can't help with TCP stacks, but could rebuild a transfer case in a Land
Rover.

What is unique about HF ?
 
They are going to enter the APRS-IS via the established HF GATES that listen
on 10.147 MHz
 
There are two more ways of doing this.
 
I did it using perl which gives me the power to do what ever i want.
 
Here is your next line of thought:-
 
1. HF packets go via the established HF gates right ?
2. So make your UI-VIEW pass everything from the APRS-IS to VHF
3. But make your APRS-IS filter say 
 
"GIve me everthing digied via the established HF gates"
 
It would look something like this
 
filter d/VK4DMI-4/VK3MY-4/
 
The "d" means digi'ed
 
Try it - you have nothing to loose !
