That does not mean much "RX ONLY"

I can set my TNC up to override that situation

RX ONLY means the PC does not contribute ;-)

The TNC can in its own right TX ;-)

XMITOK ON /OFF is the ONLY way 

Why would a weather station be on the ISS freq ? 

Why would a weather station digi ?
