Andrew,
I was using the field "Text to send on connection" rather
than "Extra log-on text" Works fine now but yes need capitals. Thanks for
your help.

+ UI-VIEW
+ Server is "rotate.aprs.net.au:14580"
+ APRS Server Setup "extra logon text" = "filter p/VK3"
# logresp VK4TEC verified, server T2AUST, adjunct "filter p/VK3" OK - Filter

Thanks Andrew, I was trying VK3 to prove it was working, yes I am getting
diiddly from the internet.
Not seeing a "filter definition ok" in the terminal window either.
If I connect via port 14579 it all works for the VK ZL feed

+ Try and use capitals if you can p/VK3
+ Check also - one of the filters, might be "m" needs to know where you are
- you need to send a beacon for it to work it out from you location.
+ I see you are using UI-VIEW, the filter would be "extra logon text"
"filter p/VK4" i my case
+ You might gave hit another server that needs to know where VK4VP-1 is,
send a beacon.
14580 is the correct port .
You need to look in the "terminal" data of UI-VIEW and see "filter
definition OK "

I have been using port 14580 this afternoon to try some filtering on the
internet data I receive.
Initially I had p/vk4 m/300 e/wxsvr-au and it all worked well.
I tried some other settings, such as p/vk3 but it stopped uploading data
from the servers. Currently I am connected to first.aprs.net.au:14580 with
a filter of m/500.
When I look at my status I see this.
Nothing in the SA Setting field and I am getting nothing from the internet.
Any ideas
