Well when I bought mine at the end of October it cost me AUD523.87 
including freight versus about AUD720 locally. I paid for it by Paypal 
so there were no credit card fees and that is even with the lousy Paypal 
exchange rate...

I just ordered an FTM-350R plus inbuilt GPS which came to AUD610.45 for 
both items and freight. These were both from HRO. I had about a year 
before bought a VX-8R from Ham City with equivalent savings. The VX-8R 
had to go back for a warranty repair which cost me about AUD30 for 
postage and Yaesu in the US covered the return postage.

But, to each his own... Personally, as a pensioner, the savings on those 
three items are significant and certainly more thatn AUD100-130 per item.
