> The test launch of a small balloon with micro electronics and
> transmitter attached was conducted Saturday 12th February 2011. Ash
> VK2XSO was the brains behind the micro electronics. Temperature
> information was transmitted back via a frequency of 433.815MHz. From
> transmitted data it is estimated that the little craft reached an
> altitude of 20,000ft before plummeting back to earth. Despite
> attempts to recover the micro electronics with the use of radio
> frequency direction finding no signals have been picked up. The
> balloon and payload was last seen heading in a south easterly
> direction from the Tamworth Oxley Scout hall.
