I have received some great support on finding software for the H/H on the
forum. Have a look.
I think I have the Smart Beaconing worked out, I've pretty much copied my
TT4 config.
Needs an external antenna for in-car use. Great within 10k's of my vk2vk-5.
Well what do you expect from a H/H
Yes, a little slow cold starting.
Had it delivered from Hamcity for $315 us + freight.

Hi Russ, I've a VX8GR, I also only use it for APRS most of the time. Have a
look on the Yahoo group for the radio. Cold startup for the gps takes a
while, but on the whole it's not a bad thing, haven't tried any of the
software so can't comment.
