[OZAPRS] HF antenna

Andrew,

Nice to see you back on the list again.

I use a half-wave dipole at about 40 ft that favours roughly vk5.

I'm planning for a Wells' Quadrant (circa 1937, and no relation to me) 
that comprises a full-wave dipole with the two legs at 90° to each other 
at the feed point.  This style of antenna provides essentially 
omni-directional radiation (within about 1.5dB according to EZNEC). The 
Wells' Quadrant was used by the now defunct Australian frequency 
standard station, VNG.
