An update on this cutover..
The 'old' first.aprs.net.au has been turned off, and the new server is
running.
Connections to the new server should be available once a couple of DNS
entries have been updated and an upstream connection established.
However - it looks like there are a couple of users with an incorrect
APRS-IS setup, as there are FOUR users already connected to the new server,
despite the fact that none of the DNS records have been updated yet!! The
only thing I can think of is that www.aprs.net.au is being used as a
server address, which is WRONG! (It's just a coincidence that the new
server is co-hosted with the website now)
The affected stations are currently: VK3CE, VK3MY, VK8NSB and ZL2UCX
Until there is an upstream connection and the DNS has been updated, all
these stations will see is each other...

Folks,
During the next week there may be some service interruptions to
first.aprs.net.au, as we will be moving it to a new server.
The transition should be fairly seamless, but you may notice some
interruption as the change in DNS record takes a little while to propagate.
Most of you should be set up to automatically fail over to
second.aprs.net.au if first goes down, so you shouldn't notice a break at
all J
Will let you all know when the move is completed.
Regards,
Geoff VK2XJG
