http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ This web site monitors beaconing AIS
ship traffic on 161 & 162 Mhz. Just drag the map to where you want it.
Then zoom in until you see the ship symbols. Click on the symbol if
you're keen to see the ships details.
http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo_aus.html I would think most hams
using VHF for what ever reason would know about this site. Especially
the VHF & UHF SSB die hards. Notice the intense ducting in the North
West. This can be verified against the number of ships being received
well over the horizon by the one lone AIS receiving station here in the
Pilbara.
