Hi Jack
The issue with 145.150 Mhz I think is desense from operating so close. If we want to make this national, we should talk to the national frequency allocation people.
Are there any 'permanent' users of 145.150 Mhz around Australia?

Darryl,
You don't see any problem using 145.150? The other logic in this plan is to site the "local" secondary freq digi in a different location to our current one on the national frequency.
The reasoning is, the secondary freq dig will be on a high site, not shared with any other radio equipment, thereby having a far lower receiver noise floor, which will benefit the lower powered portable radios & trackers etc.
