Hi Ben,

I took the same approach as Damien.
Expect mine was the BT-11H 6 x AA battery case from Batteries America.

After seeing what a battery pack from the US cost, I ended up just
buying the Kenwood 4xAA pack from andrews, and use NiMH's in it - i've
had about 12 hours of on-time out of it so far (over the last six
weeks), and the batteries are yet to go flat.. :) Although granted
it's not tx'ing every 5 minutes like it would be if it had a GPS
plugged in and was sending posits.. Only downside is it won't charge
the batteries from the DC jack in the side (I'm yet to experiment with
removing the diode in the pack and seeing if it will charge them..),
though since I don't have a GPS to plug into the D7 since someone
stole my etrex, i don't really use it much other than as a normal
handheld these days :)

Cheers,

DG
