[OZAPRS] UIDIGI and Cheap HH

What happens if you leave the squelch open? Will the receiver still go
to sleep?

Hi Jim,
Just a word of warning, the cheap HHelds would be ok for TX only
trackers, as most now incorporate at battery save "sleep" mode, which
doesn't allow the receiver to short packets, unless an extremely long
TXD is set on the the other equipment.

But the project sounds interesting.
