Luckily all but a few Band I TV transmitters are gone. By 2010 the whole
of Band 1 & 2 (45Mhz - 108Mhz) TV transmissions will be cleared. It is
interesting to note that until today Australia is still condemned
internationally for its original decision to add channel 0 to TV to the
spectrum back in the 60's. I know only too well the problems associated
with that being both an amateur (VK3ZYB in those days) and a technician
at the original ATV 0 in Melbourne from the day it started...... That's
another story in itself!!!
