Managed to barbeque a Ford EEC-IV ECU using a smigin over max legal power
into a 5/8 mobile on 2 meters.
It let go on the Swan Reach Ferry....so we went back and forth across the
river numerous times. Very embarassing.

I have an IC-706mkIIG installed into my AU ser2 SR ford, have aprs with a
yaesu ft23r ( www.vk3egc.org / photo tab ) all ok. but when I'm 40 Mtr on
the Icom the Car alarm siren go's mental when I transmit at 100 watts in to
the famparc Antenna, if I turn the power down to 50 watts no problems....
and this is with a car that 8 years old, had to try a new car, no
thanks.....
