 Problem solved .. Two things 1) reset 2) while car is powered off press
the power on button ... The d700 then will be powered on when car turned
on ...

I have the same issue at times. Sometimes turning the unit on and off
fixes the problem. I think that pressing the RESET button might fix the
issue for a while... Not sure about that one.

Dear all,
I now have a D700 however I need to always press the PWR button to make it
work when I turn off my car and then back on again. This is contrary to
the instruction manual, ie, it should continue working when I turn the car
back on without needing to press the PWR button ... Does anyone have any
ideas?
The internal battery keeps the date/time so I don't think its that.
