Ive been watching these comments from Andrew for a while now and this isnt
the first time its been spotted.. 10/10 for Andrew in the way hes actually
watching the packets and looking at them off air and asking questions. Not
enough of this is done..

Now to the issue.. Vk4OG seems to be running Ui-view.. If Ui-view is used
to
Gate off the net to RF it will not gate stuff to RF if its allready been
seen on RF.. This is known as a local station (see Ui-view32 Options-Show
Igate traffic window) .. So the answer lies down this line.. It would be
very interesting to see how many stations he has got in that Local
Stations
part of the Igate traffic window.

So it seems for some reason VK4OG is not hearing 4CPM-9 or 4TDI-9 on RF ..
This could be a receive TNC or Radio issue at 4OG or even the network not
reaching him.. The other not so obvious think that could be a factor here
is
in Ui-view Setup-Miscellaneous menu known as expire time. This would be
best
set at say 60 mins. Ive a strong suspicion this timer is tied into the
local stations listing I mentioned above.
In the case of the network not reaching him there could be configuration
issues in the digis which has been raised repeatedly. It is however easier
to check out the recieve situation at 4OG's place before running off at
tangents with network issues.

Just looking at FindU .. 4OG has not been up on the net for a day or so
now
but he was connected in via T2AUST-2 server. 4CPM-9 was last gated to the
net via 4TEC and 4TDI-9 was gated last to the net via 4DMI-4 . So you
have
multiple stations gating to the Net.. This should not present a problem
normally these days. However once someone starts gating to RF off the Net
you need to think and plan the network topology and make sure he (the
Igate
to RF) can recieve properly the local stations.

Hope that helps. Check these things out.
