Sorry - re-reading the original post. . .   Yes you can still send to the
Internet and LAN with an invalid validation number (-1) however you
require
a correct validation number to allow anything sent via the APRS-IS to be
transmitted out to RF by any I-Gate.

The APRS Server validation number is generated uniquely based on the
callsign.   Changing callsign will need a new validation number for the
APRS-IS servers.

G'day all,

About to get up and running again using UI-view. I have a registered 
copy but have changed callsigns since.

Will the Server validation still be OK to send stuff to the internet and 
to my LAN?
