[OZAPRS] Purpose built digi

The only radios that come to mind are the Kenwood TM-D700 (and new D710)
and the TH-D7A. But neither of these are purpose designed to be a
digipeater. I'm not sure why anyone would want to make such a thing
commercially. Personally I would rather keep these items separate, sort
of the same way I like keeping all my network equipment separate (modem,
router, switch, AP). When one thing breaks, or you want/need to upgrade
you don't have to toss the whole unit away.
Back in the days of the "larger" radio (Philips FM828, etc), you had
space inside to add various things. It might have been possible to jam a
TNC-X and Digi-X into a FM828 (with the extended deep base option), but
I doubt you could do the same with a newer radio.
