[OZAPRS] Solar panel question

A good rule of thumb is that a 4W panel will generate 4Watt-Hours per day
during sunny days. There are cheap ways to improve the performance of
solar
cells though. Buy a few bags of white sand, and spread it on the ground.
This will improve the reflection of light from the ground hitting the
cells.

re 250ma panel.

I don't think you will get 250ma except during the brief period when the
panel
is optimum to the sun. My experience with a 5amp (rated) panel on a boat
was that I was lucky to get an average of 2 amps over say 12 hours of
daylight. I reckon your 250ma panel would be lucky to average 150ma over
a 24hr period! This is just an opinion with no scientific backing so take
the advice lightly.
