[OZAPRS] Solar panel question

A 4w panel is not going to overcharge a 7 Ah gel cell. I doubt you 
will see the battery volts go above 13.8v even on a really long 
period of sunlight with no other load on the battery. The simplest 
protection/regulation you could use is to connect a 14v Zenner diode 
across the battery so the voltage cannot go above this level. A 1 
watt zenner should do as it is only skimming the cream if ever there 
is any, which I doubt.
