[OZAPRS] Something amiss on 30m ? (Richard Hoskin)

   Thanks for the comments Richard and Horst.. I have recently played with
the
   Tiny Trak 3 config.. I didnt see any posits from -15 comming back out
of the
   Adelaide Igate when I left and heard nothing from any other stations on
30m
   until about 1.5 hrs into the trip.. Call me paranoid but it didnt seem
quite
   normal. We left Adelaide at about 10am and usually there is some sort
of
   coverage from 3MY but Richard is right in that below about 500-600km
its all
   over on 30m.. I did have some great voice contacts on sunday afternoon
on
   30m back to Adelaide though..
   Just looking on aprsworld at a map plot of the trip its not all that
bad
   after all..

Hi Tony,

I saw a few HF posits from you. However you were a bit too far south to
get
reliable coverage from 3MY-4 as it was less than 350km from you most of
the
time you were travelling across southern NSW.

I just drove from Adelaide to Sydney running both 2m and 30m all the way
beaconing.. I could not help but notice the lack of 30m activity on there
especially on saturday. I put it down to bad conditions really.. But now I
am here in sydney Ive looked back at the raw frames on findu and notice
that 3MY-4  was not a part of the equation at all on 30m..

Is something wrong with 3MY-4 ?? It does not appear that I got gated very
much at all from 30m ..
