I have no problem with SSn-n. However, my advice would be to call the
SSn-n
something else. There are still a heap of people who remember WWII and to
which SS have a negative connotation. Believe it or not, TAPR got comments
about the Spread Spectrum mailing list (abbreviated SS).

The New-EU was as you describe, but then with a few months of
continuing discussion, it was decided to bring the New-EU more
in line with the USA version... Basically, they are now the
same. WIDEn-N everywhere (made traceable by swapping the
UIFLOOD and UITRACE parmeters) and SSn-N for regional
distributions...

So now it should be the same everywhere... And fully traceable
Fixed Stations: WIDEn-N
Regional path: SS1-1,SSn-N <== optional
Mobile path: WIDE1-1,WIDEn-N
