[OZAPRS] I-Gate traffic VK1NPW-1

Hello Peter, Does this still hold true for the VK1 I-gate to RF traffic?

****************************************************************
Extract from VK1KCM message dated Sun, 1 Oct 2006.

Technically I'm only backing up Peter, vk1npw however until his gate
comes back online mine will keep going.

Currently I'm gating vk1, vk2 and vk3, and using TRACE2-2. Mainly
to give local RF only stations something interesting on their screens.

I'm happy to change this, especially if it's causing problems, or
if Wagga want to run their own gate!
****************************************************************
If it is only for the locals on RF is there a possibility that you could
shorten your path
to reflect this, to just via VK1RGI-1 would be best for me but even if you

can manage
a one hop reduction to via WIDE2-2 it would be interesting to see how much

of a difference
it does make. I don't know if your aware of the impact this gating is
having
on the ability
of mobile stations in the western suburbs of Sydney to be digipeated
through
VK2JPJ-1,
but with the gating rattling away it does appear from looking at the logs
that it is a major
factor.

Mike, VK2INT

I'll see who we have to beat up to make that happen. <grin>

Um, is that a good or a bad thing? I don't want to stuff up anybody
else having a go with a gateway.

Carl.
