I have been using a portable APRS setup in my aircraft for a couple of
years
(off and on)  It consists of a Kenwood H/H Garmin 55AVD and Tiny Trak 3
all
housed in a soft lunch box sitting on top of my luggage area.

A useful program for converting your saved GPS track is GETRAX.  It
converts
the GPS data to Google Earth KML files.  Any trip away can then be stored
on
file as a piece of history.

Pilots never get lost......just temporarily misplaced!
